My pilgrimage began with a meeting with the Asociación "Amigos del Camino de Santiago" Comunidad Valenciana. I met with Vice President, Luciano Arochena Candame who speaks excellent English. I was well received, briefed, and encouraged; and purchased their newly published English version guide book and credential. The meeting with Luciano set the positive tone for my pilgrimage, and that was important. I recommend that pilgrims embarking on the Cami de Llevant attend a meeting during their stay in Valencia.
